OUR PURPOSE
The Governance Charter and Procedure manual is designed to provide clarity and guidance on the groups mission, history, roles, task and responsibilities, overseeing and evaluating tools to monitor and assess progress of the programs and the membership. legal entities and guidelines structure and internal functioning including by-laws.
The Founders- newly appointed Founders Board Including-President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian) members and helping hands (volunteers); and all other matters that relate to the governance of The Extended Family.
OUR MISSION
The Mission of the Extended family is to sponsor community- wide events, designed to educate, entertain and engage youth and families through collaboration to improve academic performance, decrease community violence and poor decision-making increasing self-esteem.
We work to save our children one event at a time through the provision of free and low-cost programming in collaboration with families, groups or organizations with similar vision.
